Carroll Wayne Hall, 70 of Decatur died 6:40 a.m. Dec. 9, 2009 at
St. Mary’s Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, December 11, 2009
from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Pilgrim Lutheran Church,
2155 N. Oakland, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be at
11:30 a.m. at the church. Pastor William K. Abbott and Pastor
Brock Abbott will be officiating. Burial will be in Macon County
Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to
Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Carroll was born September 26, 1939 in Lintner, IL, son of
Claude A. and Edna M. Frantz Hall. He worked as a Meat
Salesman and in Security at Millikin University and Decatur
Memorial Hospital. Carroll was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran
Church. He married Dolores M. Kluthe on December 11, 1965.
Surviving are his wife, Dee of Decatur, children; Janey (Bill)
Wilcockson of Marion, IL, Wendy (Jim) Burris of Decatur, Beth
(Brock) Abbott, of Decatur; grandchildren Suzanne Boose and
Jennifer (Eric) Groce, Matt (Stacy) Burris and Zach Burris,
Trevor, Elaina, Lucas, and Grant Abbott, Amber and Heather
Turner, 6 great-grandchildren, a brother, William L. (Vicki) Hall,
Normal, IL, a sister, Nancy Mullins, Mt. Auburn, IL., many nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John Hall
and Clyde Hall, a sister, Marilyn Kuehl.
