James “Jimmy” Edward McMillan, age 80, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at
Lincoln Manor with his family surrounding him.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 2, 2009 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Hidden
Valley Community Church 1635 Huston Drive in Decatur, IL. A private family
burial will be held.
James was born March 11, 1929 in Littleton, IL, the son of Lawrence and
Beulah (Ingles) McMillan. He was retired from Caterpillar where he worked for
36 years. He was also the owner of The Viking Lounge.
James was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather. Survivors include:
daughter Diana Martin (Steve) of Decatur, IL; son Mike McMillan (Ellen) of Del
Ray Beach, FL; son Ron McMillan (Debbie) of St. Charles, IL; son Darrell
McMillan (Sarah) of Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter Rhonda McMillan (friend Terry) of
Decatur, IL; brother Robert McMillan (Marge) of Burlington, IA; and brother
Gene McMillan of Middletown, IA. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 8
great-grandchildren, and special relative Cheri Gilman (Bob). He was preceded
in death by both parents; sister Nedra Ellis; brother Berthol McMillan; and
brother Dean McMillan.
James’ family would like to thank DMH ICU and 5100 floors and the DMH
Hospice, doctors and staff.
James will be greatly missed by his family.
