Larry Joe Lutane Sr., 54 of Decatur passed away 6:25 a.m. Wednesday
(Sept. 30, 2009) in his residence surrounded by his family. Visitation will be 5 to
7 p.m. Monday Oct. 5, 2009 at the Salem Baptist Church 2650 S. Taylorville
Road Decatur, IL., 62521. Funeral service will follow visitation at 7 p.m. Visitation
in Indiana will be 10 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Ellenberger Baptist Church
10th and Ritter Indianapolis, followed by graveside service in Acton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family of Larry Lutane Sr. C/O Steven Lutane.
Larry will take his farewell Harley ride on "Remembering the Ride" by
Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care. The family request casual attire.
Larry was born July 12, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana son of George Francis and
Patricia Dickerson Lutane. He worked in construction most of his life and enjoyed
fishing, playing pool, watching NASCAR and his grandkids. He was a die-hard
Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs fan. His favorite NASCAR driver was Kasey
Kahne.
He is survived by his seven children; Angie, Jeremy, Misty, Ashley (Chuck), Mark,
Larry Jr., and Steven Sr. (Amanda), 17 grandchildren, and three brothers;
George Jr., Ray, and Danny.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Sharon Lutane.
